CSDVA School Garden Project

We’re excited to be working with CSDVA to restore their school garden and introduce their students to growing their own food. Ms. Blake, the faculty member who reached out to us is the kind of teacher we all wish we’d had. She’s excited for the students to get their hands in the soil. Can’t wait to share their progress. Lots of excitement ahead!

Ready, Set, Grow!

In collaboration with the Rosa Foundation, Greensboro Parks and Recreation, we ran a 6-week program to teach kids about gardening. It was so fulfilling to watch their eyes light up every week as they learned something new. With the beautiful Gateway Gardens as our classroom, these young people learned about everything from germination to composting and more. In this picture, they’re learning about vermicomposting, that is, composting with worms. The science behind gardening is fascinating and you’re never too young or too old to learn.
